Updated: Outlook Productivity Tip

How often do you go to find something in your Outlook by a particular person? Like I need to see an email conversation between me and Vendor X… I used to go and search my inbox, sent items, etc. I would sort by name, filter by whatever, in order to drill down just to that person! This eats your time alive.

Do this instead:

Go to the Contact record stored in your Contacts; click Activities.

(In Outlook 2003, there is a tab called “Activities”)

(FYI: there must be an email for the contact record.)

Tip: If you often move things by people to a different folder, then you can simply highlight all of these and drag them into the folder of your choice.
